Background: Nurses are the largest group amongst Health Care Professionals. By their role, they have more contact and potentially influence on the health behaviors of patients than any other providers. They have also the opportunity to educate and promote theirs health behaviors
Objective: a comparison of health behaviors of nurses' in Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Buffalo - United States and Israel
Methods: Selected studies were chosen through literature review regarding six health related behaviors: smoking, nutrition, physical activity, oral health, sun protection and screening tests. A comparison was made between nurses' attitudes and their health behaviors
Results: 33% in Buffalo, 36% in Hong Kong , United Kingdom and 49% in Israel were engaged in physical activity at least three times a week. 52% in Hong Kong reported avoiding fatty food, 56% avoiding cholesterol, 90% eating between meals, 42% Buffalo eating between meals
